As a part of the IPA - EU Program for Croatia named “Raising of public awareness about the importance of the system of internal financial controls within the public sector of the Republic of Croatia, the conference
“Importance of the systems of the internal financial controls within the public sector of the Republic of Croatia” was held in Zagreb, in the hotel Westin on 17 October, 2012.

Topics “Fiscal responsibility – public joint-stock companies”, “Financial management and control through the implementation of Anti-corruption program for joint-stock companies in mayor state ownership”, “ “Findings and recommendations of the State Office for Audit” and “Financial management and control of EU funds” were discussed on the conference.
Eminent speakers, Mrs. Paulina Stanoeva, the Head of Projects for finances and public management from the EU Delegation Office in Croatia, Mr. Boris Lalovac, Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Branko Šegan, Assistant Minister of Finance, Mrs. Danijela Stepić, Ivana Jakir Bajo, Željka Burić and Slavica Malenica, all Heads in the Ministry of Finance as well as Mrs. Verica Akrap, Assistant to the Main State Auditor and Mrs. Helga Bubanović Devčić, Assistant Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds held lectures and were available for any additional question.
